The history of our bed and breakfast in Morbihan
Since the dawn of time, people have travelled, migrated and settled in regions that have been speaking to their hearts.
Like our elders, Fabrice and I did not escape from our family tradition. In the fall of 2003, we decided to acquire this home that charmed us with its character, its potential for renovation and the serenity that envelops it.
11 years later, this holiday resort has been “renovated with simple yet understated taste” to become our main home, but also a place where one feels welcome and cared for: the Étape de la Fouée was born to welcome you in one of its three guest rooms.
The Stage: our home symbolizes both rest after a long journey, and a stage in the journey of our life like our Breton, Norman, Mayenese, Hungarian, Martinican ancestors… ..
Fouée: if fouée today means this little ball of bread baked in the oven in every home, from Touraine to Nantes, it is semantically, the feminine of “fire”, expression of a combustion producing heat and light. Two concepts that we wanted to bring to light for our guest house in South Morbihan.
A guest room in Morbihan to vary the pleasures
At the converging point of 3 departments, Morbihan, Ille and Vilaine and Loire-Atlantique, Saint-Dolay is close to numerous touristical interests.
In this land rich in history and legends, you will discover the charm of the historic towns La Roche Bernard, Rochefort-en-Terre, Guérande. The numerous fishing ports invite you to taste the sea products, Piriac, La Turballe, Le Croisic, Le Pouliguen, Pénestin…
By choosing your holiday rental in Southern Brittany, you will be in the heart of grandiose natural areas such as the salt marshes of the Guérande peninsula, the Regional Park of Brière, the islands of the Gulf of Morbihan, or the marshes of Vilaine.
Come spend a weekend in Brittany to enjoy the many cultural activities, and rest in a guest room in Morbihan. At 1h drive from Nantes and Rennes, 30 min from the sea, our guest house will prove to be a perfect stop to spend your holidays.
